Documentation / Account & recovery

Account & recovery

DaLinkz has no accounts in the usual sense. Your page is protected by a portal password, and a support PIN proves it's yours when you talk to us. All of these settings are under Account & settings in the portal.

Your portal password

You log in to the portal with your link and this password. You're shown it once, when you make your page.

Your support PIN

The support PIN is a 6-digit code shown when you make your page and any time under Account & settings → Support PIN.

Write your support PIN down somewhere safe, apart from your password. If you lose your password, the PIN is the only way we can confirm the page is yours.

Lost your password?

  1. Go to the contact page and choose Account recovery.
  2. Include your page's link and its support PIN.
  3. Once we've checked them, we reset your password and get back to you.

Without the support PIN we can't tell the real owner from someone pretending, so we can't recover the page. That's the downside of not collecting emails, and it's why saving both codes matters.

On Pro

Go to Account & settings → Your link and type a new one. It can be up to 30 letters and numbers, with no spaces or symbols. The change happens straight away.

On Free

Free pages keep their random link, but you can ask for a change. Use the contact page, choose Custom link request, and include your current link, the link you'd like and your support PIN. We review each request by hand.

Your old link stops working straight away and doesn't redirect to the new one. Update it everywhere you've shared it, and re-download your bio panel, because the image has your link on it.

Some links are reserved and can't be taken, and each link can only belong to one page.

Publishing and unpublishing

Your page is live from the moment you make it. Under Account & settings → Publish you can:

The Overview shows a reminder while your page is unpublished.

Deleting your page

To remove your page for good, send a request on the contact page with your link and support PIN. If you only want it out of sight for a while, unpublishing is quicker and keeps everything.

Still stuck?

Ask in our Discord or send us a message on the contact page. Never post your password or support PIN in a public channel.
