Streamer tools
The Marketing section of the portal makes two things that point your audience to your page: a bio panel image for your channel and a live stream overlay. Both are free on every page.
Bio panel
A 369×143 banner with your page address on it, sized for a Twitch About section. It works anywhere you can post an image, such as a forum signature or a server welcome channel.
Make it
- In the portal, open Marketing.
- Set the layout: where the DaLinkz text and your page address sit, whether the logo shows, and a text shadow for busy backgrounds.
- Pick the colours for the logo, the DaLinkz text and your page address.
- Optional: use your own logo or background image. A square .png with a see-through background works best for a logo, and a 369×143 image for a background. Both need direct image links.
- Press Download panel.
Add it to Twitch
- Go to your channel, then About and Edit Panels.
- Add a panel and upload the image.
- In Image Links To, enter your full DaLinkz link so the panel is clickable.
Press Save settings in Marketing to keep your options for next time. Your stream overlay uses the same look.
The panel image has your link printed on it. If you change your link, download a new panel and replace the old one everywhere.
Stream overlay
Your bio panel, live on stream. It shows your saved settings and updates itself within a minute when you save, with no need to touch your streaming app.
Add it to OBS Studio
- In Marketing, under Stream overlay, press Copy link.
- In OBS, go to Sources, press + and choose Browser.
- Paste the link into URL, set the size to 369 × 143 and press OK.
- Drag the panel into place. Drag a corner to resize it.
Streamlabs and other streaming apps work the same way, using a Browser Source.
Options
- Show your page views: every so often your page address swaps to your total views, updated live. This needs "Show the view count" switched on under Appearance → Page stats.
- Animation: how it swaps, with fade, collapse and grow, flip, glitch or typewriter. Collapse, flip and glitch still play now and then with views off, to catch the eye.
- How often: from every 5 seconds to every minute.
Keep the overlay link private
Anyone with your overlay link can show your panel. If it gets out, press New link and the old one stops working. Then, in OBS, right-click the source, choose Properties and paste the new link over the old one.
Overlay gone blank? It blanks itself when your page is unpublished or after you press New link. Republish your page, or paste the new link into your browser source.
Tips for streamers
- Use the tagged link for Twitch in your panel's "Image Links To" and in chat commands. Your stats then show exactly how many visits came from your stream.
- Add a Page popup (Pro) for "Live now" or "New video" announcements. You can schedule it with a start and end time.
- Got a schedule, merch or a tip jar? Add them as custom buttons (Pro) so viewers find everything in one place.
