Privacy in plain English
DaLinkz is built to know as little about you and your visitors as possible. This page is a short summary. The full, binding version is our Privacy & Cookies notice.
What we keep
- What you put on your page: name, bio, handles, links, media links and your design choices. All of it is public, apart from your saved bio panel and overlay settings.
- A scrambled (hashed) copy of your portal password, and your support PIN.
- Daily totals for your views, the sites visits came from (the name only) and clicks on your links. These are deleted after 3 months, apart from your all-time view count.
- Which page referred yours, if you used someone's referral link.
What we don't
- No email address, unless you choose to send one when you contact us or request Pro. It's used only to reply.
- No cookies on your page, and no analytics there.
- Nothing that identifies your visitors or follows them around.
- No ads, no advertising profiles, and we never sell data.
Your visitors
When someone opens your page, we add one to your view count and note which site they came from, as a daily total. That's it. We don't know who they are, and nothing ties a view or a click to a person.
Images, video and music on your page load from wherever you host them, so that host sees the request like any website would. Pick hosts you trust. See where to host your files.
Our own pages
Our homepage, contact page and legal pages can use Google Analytics to count visitors, but only if you press Accept on the cookie banner. Decline and nothing loads. You can change your mind any time on the privacy page. Like any website, our hosting and security provider keeps standard server logs to keep the service safe and running.
You're in control
- Edit or remove anything on your page whenever you like.
- Unpublish your page from Account & settings to hide it at once.
- Ask us to delete it or to use any of your data-protection rights through the contact page. Because there's no email on file, we confirm it's you with your support PIN.
